With rain dominating the forecast for the Fourth of July, planners have made some adjustments to events that had been scheduled for the holiday.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch that is in effect through Friday evening. Chance of rain tomorrow is forecast at near 100 percent with locally heavy rainfall possible.
Activities at Centennial Park have been cancelled, except for the fireworks display. Those will begin at 9 p.m. or the closest opportunity the weather allows.
At Lake Tansi, the car show scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled.
The Pro-Troop Rally, set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Cumberland County Courthouse Lawn, will go on as planned, rain or shine, planners report.
