Breast Cancer Awareness

CROSSVILLE — Crossville Mayor J.H. Graham III, right, recognizes Chronicle publisher Pauline Sherrer, right, as a breast cancer survivor and presented her with the proclamation for Breast Cancer Awareness Day set for Oct. 18 in Crossville. Early detection provides the best defense against breast cancer for both men and women. Friday, everyone is encouraged to Paint Cumberland County Pink to encourage everyone to know their bodies, talk to their doctors and get screened. Activities include special demonstrations at The Shanks Center for the Arts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a Pink Out game prior to the Cumberland County High School from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., with games, food and cheers.
