CROSSVILLE — Crossville Police are looking for at least two suspects in connection with the robbery of the Subway restaurant at The Crossings off N. Main St. during which one armed robber stole an employee's car.

The incident occurred Sunday shortly before 8:30 p.m. and was captured on at least two surveillance cameras. The employee, a 19-year-old female, was apparently alone in the store and was shaken but otherwise uninjured.

The worker described her assailant as being about six-foot in height and wearing a grey hoodie, camouflage mask and dark pants. He escaped with approximately $100 in cash from the store, $25 from the victim's wallet, the victim's ATM and debit card, personal identification, a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier and keys for the victim's car, the store and a church.

The victim told police she was sitting in the back of the store when she heard the front door bell ring and walked to the counter to wait on what she thought was a customer, according to Ptl. Jonathan O'Neal's report.

The victim stated, and the video shows, the man then jumping over the counter, ordering the employee to open the register, taking cash and then ordering the employee to the rear of the store. The man then followed her to the back, got the victim's purse and stole her wallet and keys. The man then fled out the door. According to O'Neal's report, the victim called her father and while on the phone, saw that her vehicle had been taken.

Police later found the vehicle abandoned in the Rocky Top Ten parking lot a short distance away. A surveillance tape from the theater showed the victim's car entering the parking lot followed by a second vehicle in which the suspect then fled the area.

The second car was described as being a two-door silver or gray vehicle with flip-up headlights. It left traveling Interstate Dr. toward Genesis Rd.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspects or the car's owner is asked to call the Crossville Police at 484-7231.
