CROSSVILLE — The Crossville city council will meet as the beer board in a special called meeting at 1 p.m. this afternoon with a called council meeting following at 1:05 p.m.

The beer board will consider a beer license for Just One More Sports Bar and Grill on Highway 70. This is the previous location of Cowgirls, which has closed.

The city council has several items on a consent agenda including several budget amendment ordinances and an engineering contract for airport lighting.

Also on the agenda is a discussion of the proposed dog park. So far the community dog park supporters have raised more than $7,500 towards construction of fences for the park on property at the Crossville Centennial Park. Council could consider matching a portion of the funds raised to help pay for the project though no commitment was made during the discussion on the matter in June this year.

Bids for the next phase of the improvements at the city's wastewater treatment plant have been received and action on the project will be considered during the meeting. The engineer is recommending the low bidder on the project at $2.57 million.

Council will consider a request for annexation by the Ace Hardware store property on Lantana Rd. The annexation has been requested by the owners.

Council will also consider the sale of property in the Interchange Business Park requested by TLD Logistics adjacent to their current location. They are seeking 5.49 acres to construct a building to service their vehicles. Additional information will be discussed at the meeting.
