CROSSVILLE — City of Crossville road crews worked through the night Tuesday and into Wednesday afternoon to repair a section of Tennessee Avenue that had collapsed. City Street Supervisor Joe Miller explained recent heavy rains had caused culverts under the street to collapse. A broken water line was also repaired. It was a team effort with the public works and street departments joined by personnel with utility maintenance, water filtration, police and fire departments. The Salvation Army brought food to crews working through the night. The road was reopened to traffic Wednesday afternoon.
