Crossville City Council calls special meeting for today

CROSSVILLE — The Crossville City Council will meet tonight in a special-called session. The agenda, released Friday afternoon, includes discussion of the conduct of the city attorney at the Jan. 8 meeting of the council, discussion of the airport property purchase in February 2011, discussion of taxiway extension and discussion of the charter review committee.

Also on the agenda are ordinances amending Crossville Municipal Code, which adds public comments as part of the official regular meeting agenda each month, and second reading of an ordinance annexing 6.85 acres on Myrtle Ave. The council will also consider submitting a grant that could provide a 50 percent match for a solar energy project and the second reading of an ordinance amending the budget for renovations to Crossville City Hall.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers of Crossville City Hall, 392 N. Main St. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
