A Cumberland County man facing burglary and theft charges along with a probation violation charge opted to accept a plea agreement and was given a split sentence in the case.
Shannon Lee Goble, 27, who has listed addresses on Pinewood Dr. and Tabor Loop, was on probation as a result of guilty pleas to criminal simulation and theft of less than $500 charges n November 2012.
Since that time he picked up new charges of aggravated burglary and theft of more than $1,000. He pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary and received a three-year sentence with 45 days to serve and the balance on probation. He is to also pay $361.94 restitution.
The 45 days are to be served consecutively with a probation revocation case that he also entered a plea.
In other cases on the docket, the following pleas were entered:
•Steven Ray England, 43, charged with possession of more than five ounces of marijuana, pleaded guilty to the charge and received a two-year suspended sentence to be served under supervised probation.
•Joshua Jude Marryshow, 19, charged with reckless endangerment and felony evading arrest, pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment, was granted judicial diversion and received a one-year suspended sentence to be served under supervised probation.
•Jerry Wayne Sherrill, 56, charged with possession of weapon by a convicted felon, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon for the purpose of going armed and received a 30-day suspended sentence to be served under good behavior probation. Fine was suspended but must pay court costs.
•Russell Lloyd Oakes, reckless endangerment, judicial diversion granted; to serve three years on probation.
•Trista Lee Brown, 29, driving under the influence and possession of marijuana for sale and for delivery, pleaded guilty to simple possession of marijuana and received a $250 fine and court costs and an 11-month and 29-day suspended sentence to be served on probation. She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and was fined $365 and court costs, two days in jail, loss of license for one year and was placed on probation for 11 months and 29 days.
