CROSSVILLE — A Cumberland County man was killed last Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 70 E. in Crab Orchard. Two children were injured in the accident.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported Lane Parsons, 52, of Crossville, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was killed.

According to the report, Andrea L. Allred, 26, of Crossville, was traveling east in a 1999 Toyota Corolla. A 1999 GMC Sonoma pick-up driven by James D. Condor, 20, of Crossville, was making a right turn from Hwy. 70.

Allred attempted to avoid Condor's vehicle and left the roadway on the right side, but collided with the right front of the pick-up truck. The Corolla flipped on to it's roof.

Parsons was sitting in the back seat and, according to the report, was not wearing a safety belt. Two children in the vehicle, ages 6 and 1, were in child restraints but were injured in the accident.

Drug and alcohol tests were requested for Allred, and criminal charges are pending.
