Preliminary plans for a 16-lot subdivision in Fairfield Glade were approved by the Cumberland County Planning Commission during last week's monthly meeting.
Wyndham Vacation Resorts, Inc. submitted a preliminary plan for subdividing 9.34 acres into 16 lots for property located on Bluff View Ln. The lots will range in size from .50 acres to .76 acres and are all currently vacant.
All utilities and roads already exist and include a six-inch sewer line, three-inch sewer main, five fire hydrants and are on Bluff View Rd., which is a current county road.
The preliminary plans were approved after a motion for approval was made by Randal Boston. Boston's motion was supported by Dave Hassler, 3rd District commissioner, and was unanimously approved.
In other areas, the following small divisions and combinations were approved by Tommy Lee, Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD) staff planner, and were presented to the commission:
• Miller property division. A final plat for subdividing one new lot from a property larger than five acres on Pomona Rd. The new lot is .52 acres and is served by a two-inch water line.
• Luke property combination. Two existing lots consisting of .43 acres being combined into one on Pomeroy Rd. in Fairfield Glade. One of the lots has an existing structure, house. Served by a six-inch water line.
•Snow property combination. Two lots consisting of .50 acres being combined into one on Topaz Dr. and Chica Rd. The proposed, new lot is presently vacant and will be served by a six-inch water line.
Committee members Roy Turner, 7th District commissioner, Stanley Hall and Russell Smith did not attend the meeting.
