A host of bids for road maintenance were awarded for the Cumberland County Highway Department during last week's Financial Management Committee meeting.
Bids approved for the Cumberland County Highway Department included:
•Volunteer Highway Supply for highway striping at rates of $345 per line mile for county roads; $400 per line mile for state-aid roads, every day; and $345 per line mile for state-aid roads five to seven days.
•Highways, Inc. for paving and paving material at rates of $78.80 for "In Place" C-material; $98.80 for "In Place" Grade D Mix; $81.80 for "In Place" CW-Hotmix; and $78.80 for "In Place" 307-BM-Hotmix.
•Franklin Industrial Minerals at $9 per ton of half-inch stone; and Monterey Limestone/Monterey Quarry at $5.75 per ton for 33C Crusher Run stone and $6.25 per ton for 303-01 Pug.
•The Feed Store for metal culverts for $10.98 per foot for 15-inch; $13.23 for 18-inch; $17.64 per foot for 24-inch; $22.07 for 30-inch; $26.50 for 36-inch; $30.92 for 42-inch; $35.37 for 48-inch; and $51.58 for 60-inch.
•Advanced Drainage Systems for HDPE pipe for $5.41 per foot for $15-inch; $7.47 for 18-inch; $12.73 for 24-inch; $17.77 for 30-inch; $24.11 for 36-inch; $33.94 for 42-inch; $37.37 for 48-inch; and $68.68 for 60-inch.
•Hudson Materials for road oil.
•Cumberland Guardrail for guardrail at rates varying from $19.50 per linear foot or each basis up to $2,400 per linear foot.
•Moton Salt at a rate of $78.89 per ton, delivered.
All bids were unanimously approved by the committee.
