A teenager in state custody was formally charged in connection with four downtown burglaries that took place in January, according to a police report released last week.
The teen — age 15 who is in state custody in Memphis — is charged with four counts of burglary to a business and two counts of theft of more than $1,000 and two counts of theft of more than $500, according to Det. William Padgett's report. The teen was cited into Juvenile Court on Jan. 16.
The teen, according to the report, admitted to his role in breaking into Randal Boston's law office on N. Main St., Bub's Thrift Shop off Webb Ave., Forte's Restaurant off E. Fourth St. and R&T Thrift Ship.
An adult from Cumberland County has also been implicated in the burglaries but the report does not state whether the adult has been arrested.
