Leadership Cumberland hosts birthday bash for KOTR

Submitted

— Leadership Cumberland 2013 recently hosted the first Birthday Bash for the children and mentors of Kids on the Rise. A fun-filled day that consisted of games, a bounce house, a balloon artist, sno cones, and a cookout was had by all. Leadership Cumberland 2013, a program sponsored by the Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce, hosted this day as the group’s class project.

Kids on the Rise is a non-profit organization that provides mentors and storybook readers to children throughout the Cumberland County School System. They provide academic support, role models, encouragement and compassion to the students. If you would like to become a mentor or help with this program, please contact Donna King at (931) 459-2388.

Leadership Cumberland 2013 and KOTR would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who helped to make this day a great success, including Centennial Park, Regions Bank, Food City at FFG, PJ’s Party Makers, Outlaw Graphics, Action Heating and Cooling, CMC, Petro’s, Andrew Rose, Billy Loggins, Boston and Poore Law Office, Flower’s Bakery, Small Biz Staffing, Matthew McClanahan, Ivy Hillis and Homestead Baptist Church.

If you are interested in helping with this annual project for KOTR, please contact a member of Leadership Cumberland 2013 or the Chamber of Commerce.
