A man who had previous drunk driving convictions in seven different counties added an eighth recently and received a two-year prison sentence.
Estele Andrew Greene, 73, was facing charges of eighth offense driving under the influence, third offense driving on a revoked license and violation of the habitual motor vehicle offender law order.
He pleaded guilty to eighth offense drunk driving and was fined $3,010 in addition to the two years to be served in prison. The remaining charges were dropped.
Court records show Green had, since 1999, racked up drunk driving convictions in Davidson, Knox, Rutherford, Sumner (two) and Wilson counties in Tennessee, and in Columbia, GA.
His latest arrest stemmed from a traffic stop by Trooper Jack Alderman on March 13, 2012.
