FOP holds successful Shop with a Cop

CROSSVILLE — The Frank Clement Lodge No. 38 of the Fraternal Order of Police located in Cumberland County just completed another Shop with a Cop program.

The program assists children who are less fortunate to have a fresh start by purchasing needed items to help the kids enjoy a positive beginning to the school year.

Numerous children were able to shop with local law enforcement personnel and their spouses, along with volunteers, to gather clothes, shoes, book bags, jackets, pencils and papers.

The funds to support the Shop with a Cop program were collected over the past several weeks.

"This special program would not have been possible if it were not for the caring heart of the citizens of Cumberland County," said Crossville Police Lt. Fred Sherrill, a member of the FOP and annual participant in the program.

"The members of the Frank Clement Lodge No. 38 would like to say a special thank-you to all those who contributed to such a worthy investment and in the hopes of bigger and brighter futures for our most precious asset, for years to come."
