A Crossville area youth suffered minor injuries when the four-wheeler he was driving entered a road and was struck by a car, according to a report. No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
The crash occurred on Old Meadows Place last Tuesday around 3:40 p.m., according to Deputy Jon Human's report. The age of the ATV driver, as well as age and address of the motorist, were not available.
The report indicates the youth was driving an ATV in a field across from his residence when the youth drove the off-highway vehicle onto the road, failing to yield right-of-way. Weeds and vines in the field prevented the motorist, driving a Jeep Cherokee, from seeing the ATV exiting the field.
The ATV driver complained about pain to his left leg, but neither he nor the driver of the car, wanted an wreck report filed since there was little or no damage to the vehicles involved.
The victim's mother requested the report "for medical insurance purposes," Human wrote in his report.
