The Crossville City Council selected former Crossville City Manager Jack Miller to serve as the interim city manager following the resignation of Bruce Wyatt Wednesday.
Councilman Jesse Kerley moved to name Miller the interim city manager, adding he felt Miller had done an excellent job during his tenure from January 2000 to January 2008.
Kerley made the motion to fire Miller from the position in January 2008. Friday afternoon, while the council met in special session, Kerley said he'd like to correct the "injustice" of that past action.
The motion was supported by Councilman Pete Souza and was approved with Kerley, Souza and Councilman George Marlow voting in favor. Voting against were Mayor J.H. Graham III and Councilman Danny Wyatt.
