The Crossville Police Department will be conducting sobriety enforcement checks and saturations beginning Dec. 30 at 6 p.m. and running through 11 p.m. Jan. 1.
These checkpoints and saturations may be located on Hwy. 127, Hwys. 70 E, N and W, State Route 392, Lantana Rd., Genesis Rd., I-40 and State Route 101.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety roadside safety checkpoint Dec. 31 from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. on State Hwy. 70 N at Pomona Rd.
THP recognizes that sobriety checkpoints are highly visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving.
"Impaired driving is a serious crime that kills more than 16,000 people and injures more than 305,000 others every year in the United States," said Sgt. David Bush. "Troopers will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol or drug impairment."
In addition, troopers will target those who operate a vehicle while impaired and take corrective actions for other violations observed while ensuring the protection of all motorists.
