Fatal April shooting results in indictment

The fatal April 24 shooting of a Cookeville resident at a residence on Hwy. 70 N has resulted in a grand jury indictment handed down Nov. 3, according to court documents.
James Leroy Poston, 74, of 3187 Hwy. 70 N, was indicted by the grand jury on a single count of second-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Jimmy D. Conatser, 40, of Ridgedale Rd., Cookeville.
Conatser was a Cumberland County native.
Sheriff's investigators have not commented on the shooting incident since it took place April 24 at the Poston's residence. It is believed the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute and that the victim may have married a family member of Poston.
In other cases presented to the grand jury, the following took place.
Pickup indictments
The following defendants were charged in sealed indictments on the following charges, meaning they had not previously been charged with the crime they now face.
•Jeremy Allen Hall, 18, 7 Manitou Dr., Nov. 7/aggravated burglary and theft more than $1,000 with bond set at $1,000.
•Eric Floyd Manning, Nov. 6, was arrested on grand jury indictments charging theft less than $10,000, theft less than $500, five counts of passing a forged instrument and five counts of forgery with bond set at $28,000.
•Coy Edward Ingram, 49, 202 Cherry Branch Rd., Nov. 8/aggravated sexual battery with bond set at $50,000.
•Joseph A. Braunm, 23, 70 Taylor St., Apt. 1, Nov. 6 arrested on nine grand jury indictments but charges were not listed on the arrest report.
Burglary and theft
•Scott Lee Bringham, aggravated burglary and theft less than $500.
•Christopher Glen Davis, possession of burglary tools, theft more than $1,000, assault on an officer and drinking below the legal age.
•Donnie Dewayne Davenport, theft less than $500.
•Donnie Lynn Rector, theft more than $1,000 and credit card fraud more than $500. Also, theft less than $500.
•Ronnie Joe Stokes Jr., burglary, possession of burglary tools and evading arrest.
•Larry Allen Selby, two counts each of forgery and passing a forged instrument.
Sex offenses
•Billy Ray Knight Jr., violation of the sex offender registry law.
Assault
•Christopher Glen Davis, aggravated assault with a weapon.
•Patrick William O'Neal, two counts of domestic assault.
•Walter Lee Russell, domestic assault.
Methamphetamine
•Jessica Vaughn Hale, promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine.
•Ronnie Keith Pugh, possession of more than .5 grams of methamphetamine for resale.
Possession
•Franklin Shaun Moser, possession of more than one-half ounce of marijuana for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Little Joe Murphy Jr., possession of more than .5 grams of cocaine.
•Millard Ray Scott, possession of more than .5 grams of cocaine for resale.
Driving under the influence
•Donnie Dewayne Davenport, three counts each of fourth offense driving under the influence and driving under the influence, per se.
•Debra Ann Dickenson, driving under the influence.
•Jennifer R. Dixon, driving under the influence.
•John Alan James Jr., third offense driving under the influence, and driving under the influence per se.
•Amber Dawn Parish, driving under the influence, driving under the influence per se and driving under the influence/child endangerment.
•Donnie Lynn Rector, third offense driving under the influence, evading arrest and driving on a revoked license.
•Anita Gail Zemencuk, driving under the influence and driving under the influence per se.
Miscellaneous offenses
•Donnie Lynn Rector, vandalism and evading arrest.
•Samuel Royal Spivey, violation of an order of protection.
•Gary Allen Woody, violation of an order of protection.
