Cumberland County commissioners elected officers and approved standing committees and statutory committees for the 2008-'09 fiscal year.
Commissioners nominated and elected Cumberland County Mayor Brock Hill to serve as chairperson of the county commission and again elected 3rd District Commissioner Lynn Tollett to serve as mayor pro-tem or vice chairman for the year.
First District Commissioner Harry Sabine was elected to continue serving as parliamentarian for the county.
