On Thursday morning, several communities across the nation remembered those who lost their lives during the tragic events that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001. In Crossville, American Legion Post and Auxiliary Unit 163 joined members of the surgical technician class at Tennessee Technology at the Cumberland County Courthouse to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks and pay tribute to the fallen. The groups walked around the courthouse lawn seven times for each year that has passed. Each lap concluded with a moment of silence and the ringing of a bell.
