Defendant who pleaded guilty in 2004 meth case pleads in burglary and theft case

A Cumberland County woman with a previous record pleaded guilty to a reduced theft charge in a burglary and theft case in Criminal Court on Aug. 27. Three years earlier she had pleaded guilty to manufacturing meth.
Jennifer Elmore, 28, charged with burglary and theft more than $500, pleaded guilty to theft less than $500 and received a suspended 11-month and 29-day sentence to be served under viritual house arrest of the community corrections program. Burglary charge was dropped.
In November 2004, Elmore was charged with possession of meth with intent to sell or deliver and possession of a prohibited weapon. At that time, she pleaded guilty to making meth and received a four-year suspended sentence with 90 days to serve adn the remainder on probation. She was also fined $2,000 and court costs and the weapon she was charged with possessing was forfeited.
Hers was just one of dozens of cases on the docket that date. Here is a summary of action in other cases.
Guilty pleas
•Kenneth W. Rose, 52, charged with aggravated statutory rape, pleaded guilty to statutory rape and received a two-year suspended sentence to be served on probation, was fined $500 and court costs, must perform 100 hours of community service and must register on the sex offender registry.
•Michael LeVaughn Woody, 37, charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, possession of a schedule II drug, possession of a schedule IV drug, possession of Schiicocain, possession of meth, violation of the light law, violation of the muffler law and possession of drug paraphernalia, pleaded guilty to possession of less than .5 grams of methamphetamine for sale and was sentenced to serve three years in prison with a reporting date of Sept. 27.
•Kenneth M. Godsey, 33, charged with initiating the process of manufacturing methamphetamine, pleaded guilty to attempt to manufacture more than .5 grams of meth and received a two-year suspended sentence to be served on probation. Was fined $100 and court costs.
•Jennifer Sue Jones, 37, initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, granted judicial diversion; placed on probation fro two years.
•William Chad Meadows, 28, charged with aggravated domestic assault, pleaded guilty to assault and received an 11-month and 29-day suspended sentence to be served on probation and to pay court costs. Remaining charges were dismissed.
•Adams N. Collins, 22, charged with aggravated burglary, burglary, and two counts of theft more than $1,000, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglar and received two three-year prison sentences to run concurrent or at the same time. All other charges were dropped.
•Michael Crabtree, 26, domestic assault and public intoxication, pleaded guilty to simple assault and was placed on probation for 11 months and 29 days and ordered to complete an anger management class. Intoxication charge was dropped.
•James Lee Swallows, 31, charged with violation of the Tennessee sex offender registry law, pleaded nollo contendre to attempt to violation the state's sex offender registry law, was placed on unsupervised probation until court costs are paid.
•Samantha Jean Lawson, 38, third offense driving on a suspended license, pleaded guilty to the charge and received an 11-month and 29-day suspended sentence with ten days to serve and the remainder on probation; $50 fine and court costs and loss of license for one year.
