Three people were arrested for the manufacture, delivery and sale of schedule II drugs – methamphetamine – after a long-term meth manufacturing investigation.
Gary T. Reed, 34, 174 Lynch Rd.; Jessica V. Hale, 27, 580 Eastland Cemetery Rd.; and Daniel S. Moore, 26, 1000 Crossville Hwy., Sparta, were charged in the incident. Reed and Hale were held without bond pending a hearing in General Sessions Court and Moore's bond was set at $50,000.
The three are the only individuals charged so far out of a total of 13 people who were taken into custody June 25 at Reed's residence. The three were arrested after a search warrant was executed at the home after an investigation involving the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department, Drug Enforcement Agency and District Attorney's office.
Cumberland County Sheriff's Department Investigator Casey Cox reported the three individuals who were immediately arrested were discovered in the room where the lab was located, or were fleeing from the room. The case remains under investigation.
