Jamestown doctor surrenders license

A state regulatory agency has suspended a Fentress County doctor's license to practice medicine permanently in administration action taken during the May session of the disciplinary board meeting in Nashville.
The Tennessee Department of Health announced the permanent suspension of the license to practice medicine of Dr. Jack C. Smith of Jamestown. The disciplinary action report states that Smith was found to be, "engaging in the practice of medicine when mentally or physically unable to safely do so."
Action taken by the Board of Medical Examiners was to ask for the permanent surrender of Smith's license, and for Smith to pay all costs associated with the administrative hearing.
