Tue, May 13 2008

Members of the Crossville Fire Department extricate a couple from the wreckage of their late-model vehicle after they were trapped inside following a singe-vehicle accident on Lantana Rd. just east of the Miller bypass intersection Wednesday morning.

Acting Fire Chief Chris South talks with Viola Griggs while an Emergency Medical Services paramedic talks to her husband, Charles, who was driving the vehicle. Despite their vehicle striking an embankment and culvert and overturning, the couple, who live on Lincoln St., were not seriously injured. It is not known why the vehicle left the road.
