Continuing all year round in Cumberland County are the AARP Driver Safety Program courses for adults 55 years and older.
The first and foremost nationwide refresher class is again available in our area. Folks whose insurance discount expires in early 2009 may contact any of the following local instructors. Newcomers are urged to attend as the state mandated auto insurance discount has a duration of three years, and is well worth the effort.
To register, call:
• Fairfield Glade — Guy Hamilton at 456-9636 or Len Stark at 248-0143.
• Crossville — Fred Zoeller at 456-0168, Leslie Zeigler at 484-1669 or Bill Bruce at 277-5845.
• Mayland and Pleasant Hill — Delbert Butson at 277-3988.
New for 2009 is the online payment method to ensure a seat in one of the monthly classes offered. Simply search "aarpdrivercourse" to find one near you. Fee amounts are $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.
Checks or money orders are welcome on the first day of class. Call today to register in these information packed and valuable courses.
