Cumberland County Budget Committee to hold work session and meeting Tuesday, Jan. 6

— The Cumberland County Budget Committee will hold a work session for the full Cumberland County Commission Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 4:30 p.m. in the large courtroom of the Cumberland County Courthouse. Joe Ayers with Cumberland Securities will give an update on the county's debt service and an analysis of recent refinancing activities made by the county. The budget committee will then meet following the work session at 5 p.m. in the small courtroom of the courthouse. The committee will review proposed budget amendments, a school bus procurement request, review 2008-'09 budget performance and discuss the county's budget process. Both meetings are open to the public.
