David H. Hutson

Oct. 12, 2008



David H. Hutson, 72, passed away Oct. 12, 2008 at the Roane Medical Center after a long and courageous battle against Lewy Body Disease. Funeral services were conducted Oct. 14 at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, with the Rev. Pete Scarbrough officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.



Mr. Hutson was born and grew up in Ozone, TN in Cumberland County.



He was a long time member of Ozone Baptist Church and he loved the Lord very much. Mr. Hutson moved to Harriman in 1966 and has lived in Harriman ever since.



He was an auto mechanic at Norris Creamery, paint and body man and blacksmith for many years. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.



Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Edna Ruth Devaney Hutson; son, David A. (Tony) Hutson; daughter, Anita Hutson Lively and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Lindsay and Joshua Lively of Harriman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Troy and Billie Hutson of Ozone and Jerry (Joe) and Vivian Hutson of Westel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby (Blackie) Hodge of Westel, Lillie Mae and Robert Hayes of Ozone, Christine and Glen Farr of Crossville and Barbara and Maynard Farr of Crossville; sisters-in-law, Peggy Hutson of Milner, GA and Carol and W.L. (Bill) Devaney of Marietta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, many friends and loved ones.



He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Kay Hutson; mother and father, Harold and Tressie Hutson; and brother, Kenneth (Pete) Hutson.



Evans Mortuary of Rockwood (www.evansmortuary.net) is in charge of the arrangements.
