Charles E. McLaughlin
March 3, 1930 — July 10, 2008
Charles E. "Chuck" McLaughlin, 78, passed away July 10, 2008, at Cumberland Medical Center. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. McLaughlin was born March 3, 1930, in Burlington, IA, the son of Jack and Irene McLaughlin.
He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism and married his college sweetheart "Sis" Martin in 1952. He served two years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Japan, and in 1954 began his 32-year career with International Harvester Credit Corporation. He and his wife retired to Fairfield Glade in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Sis; daughters, Katie of San Diego and Amy Terlikowski of Chicago; son, Charlie John of San Diego; and brothers, Richard and Albert of Oregon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his eldest son, Marty.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
