Betty Evelyn (Bradley) Limburg, 71, of Crossville, passed away June 28, 2009. Funeral services were conducted July 1 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Dennie Moore, Kevin Phillips and Bro. Garland Limburg officiating. Interment was in Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston.
Mrs. Limburg was born Jan. 26, 1938, in Cocke County, the daughter of Victor and Lizzie (Mathes) Bradley.
She worked hard at Oster, One Hour Martinizing and at the Perdue Plant. She and her husband, Bill, lived and worked in Chicago, Indiana and Texas. She loved life, her family and friends. She had a beautiful going home day, with family and loved ones by her bedside.
She was a great inspiration to the employees and residents at Standing Stone Care & Rehab Center. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church at Pomona and loved teaching the children's class and Bible school. She loved her Lord and Savior and gave 100 percent to her God.
Survivors include her sister, Juanita (Bradley) Mackie of Cookeville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter Paul and Loria Bradley of Monterey and Bed and Shirley Bradley of Cookeville; brothers-in-law, George Clarence of Texas, James Limburg and wife Elsie of Kingston and Robert Limburg and wife Mary of Crossville; and sisters-in-law, Jean Cottrell of Crossville and Pearl Corker of Texas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. "Bill" Limburg; sisters, Hazel Reagan, Roxie Smith, Rose Ellen Bell and Alma Bradley; and brothers, William Arthur Bradley, James Victor Bradley and Roy Taft Bradley.
