Charles Wilbert Teske, 65, of Fairfield Glade, passed away May 8, 2008. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Romine from Christian Assembly officiating.


Mr. Teske was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Rhinelander, WI, the son of Wilbert J. and Mabel B. Rodd Teske.


He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1964, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. He married Jill Wikelund, his loving wife of nearly 43 years, in 1965. They spent 11 years in Jackson, TN, where Mr. Teske ran a trucking company. They then moved back to Wausau, WI, where he worked as director of transportation for Kolbe Windows & Doors. After his retirement in 2007, they moved to Fairfield Glade to be near their children and grandchildren.


He was a member of Christian Assembly for 16 years in Wausau, WI, where he served as an usher. He liked to fish, hunt and play golf. He also loved to cook and was known to be an excellent chef.


Survivors include his wife, Jill Teske of Fairfield Glade; sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Allison Teske of Chattanooga and William and Sherri Teske of Maryville; sisters and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Beckman of Prescott, AZ and Joyce Rank of Luxembourg, WI; grandchildren, Hannah, Emma and Jacob Teske; and many nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Janet Douglas.


The family has respectfully asked that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Knox Area Rescue Ministries, 419 N. Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917, or the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, 331 Great Circle Rd., Nashville, TN 37228.
