John Paul Scarbrough, 54, of Crossville, passed away May 4, 2008. Funeral services were conducted May 7 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with Bro. Hyle Waldo and Bro. Wayne Matthews officiating. Burial was in Thomas Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Scarbrough was born Aug. 29, 1953, in Cumberland County, the son of John Clayton and Iva Sapp Scarbrough.
He was a logger and a member of the Baptist faith. He had a great affection for horses and loved riding his grandson, Michael Dakota, on his four-wheeler. He was loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Scarbrough; son, Adam Scarbrough; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Pat Dodson; grandmother, Lillian Sapp, all of Crossville; sister, Diane Osborne of Jeffersonville, IN; grandson, Michael Scarbrough; several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were Harold Manning, Richard Wyatt, Paul Wyatt, Dewayne Burgess, Delmer Burgess, Alfred Wyatt and Scott Wyatt.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
