David Odell Norris, 63, of Crossville, passed away May 3, 2008. Funeral services were conducted May 6 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Chadwick officiating. Interment was in Haley's Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Norris was born Nov. 9, 1944, in Jamestown, the son of Willard Clay Norris Sr. and Anna Bell (Stevens) Norris.
He was a cable television lineman and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Rebecca (Mackie) Norris of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Freddie and Susan Norris, Michael and Glennis Norris and Willard Norris, all of Crossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Steve Wilbanks and Gail and Dwight Woody, all of Crossville; brothers, Junior Norris, Claude Norris, Roger Norris and Billy Joe Norris, all of Crossville; sisters, Cella Sawyer of Livingston and Ella Mackie of Crossville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Norris; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Clay Norris, Eddie Mackie, Jeff Mackie, Dwight Woody, Steve Wilbanks and PJ Norris.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
