Claude "Ted" Robbins, 81, of Crossville, formerly of Eaton Rapids, MI, passed away March 20, 2008. A time of remembrance was held March 22 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Cumberland County Rescue Squad, with a memorial service to follow at 5 p.m.


Mr. Robbins was born March 13, 1927, in Pontotoc, MS, the son of Claude Elmer and Mattie Valera (Roy) Robbins.


He was retired from General Motors and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II.


Survivors include his wife, Martha Frances (Posey) Robbins of Crossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Dennis Morgenstern of Crossville and Carol and Ken Beasore of Hartsville, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Trent and Kimberly of Eaton Rapids, MI; and six grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cumberland County Rescue Squad.


Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
