Everett C. Royal, 84, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 6, 2008. Funeral services were conducted Feb. 9 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Frank Walker officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

Mr. Royal was born Aug. 30, 1923, in Centertown, KY, the son of Eskin Royal and Vera Mae (Nuss) Royal.

He was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. He was retired from the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. During his military career, he received the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
He is survived by his daughter, Rosanna Royal of Knoxville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jean (Baisley) Royal; and sister, Kathleen Confer.

Pallbearers were Bob Axline, Gary Lansford, Jess Beaty, Dennis Collette, Randy Pedde and Larry Witt.

Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
