Joe Ann Profitt, 60, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 11, 2008. A visitation was held Jan. 12 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 14 at Morton and Whetstone Funeral Home in Vandalia, OH, with the Rev. James Render officiating. Burial followed in Dayton Memorial Park in Dayton, OH.
Mrs. Profitt was born Aug. 26, 1947, in Letcher County, KY, the daughter of Birtle and Della Morgan.
She attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church and had worked as a boxmaker at Turner Day Handle Mill. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts and painting.
Survivors include her sister, Kathy Conner of Dayton, OH; aunt, Betty Jo Carbaugh (Don); nephews, John Robert Conner, Bobby Joe Conner, David James Conner and Jerry Galloway (Elsie) of Crossville; niece, Christine Conner; 10 great-nieces and nephews; loving companion, Aaron Burgess; and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Morgan; and husband, Danny Profitt.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
