Celebrating mothers on Mother’s Day, and every day
A Jewish Proverb says, “God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.” Tansi has celebrated another Mother’s Day with cards and flowers reminding mothers they are appreciated. Lake Tansi has amazing and wonderful mothers all from different parenting perspectives, backgrounds and philosophies. But all harbor a single goal: loving the children they were blessed with in this world, teaching them and bringing them into adulthood.
Catching up with the Bass Club
The Lake Tansi Bass Club is really catching up! The Bass Club has been catching some nice large and small mouths and enjoying the increased competition with nine to 12 boats sporting per tournament. Having held four tournaments so far this season, the Lake Tansi Bass Club can only assume the catches and the competitions will only continue to get bigger.
Golf Capital Classic tees off for Komen Aug. 16
Make plans now to take part in the third annual Golf Capital Classic, benefitting Susan G. Komen of the Upper Cumberland.
Rain shortens Hospice tourney to 15 holes
Jim Goins, Farrell Odom, Everette Cook and Bill Nicholl won the rain-shortened annual Hospice Golf Tournament played last Wednesday afternoon at the Lake Tansi Golf Course.
Scorecard playoffs determine champs in Exchange tourney
Twenty-six teams (108 players) were greeted by beautiful weather April 26 at Lake Tansi for the 28th annual Exchange Club Golf Tournament; however, it took several scorecard playoffs to determine the winners in each of three flights.
Winner-Winner LTV Association Dinner
The Lake Tansi Village Association (LTVA) held its monthly potluck dinner at the Thunderbird on April 15. The buffet was set, the tables were full and the LTVA had a great time listening to the entertaining style of the Plateau Old-Time German Band.
Exchange Club Tournament winners

Meet the Candidates Assembly at Tansi
There were no parking spaces available and no seats left at the Thunderbird Recreation Center on April 3 for the Meet the Candidates assembly. The unique forum allowed the candidates running in the Cumberland County Primary Election the opportunity to present themselves to Tansi’s voting public.
‘Stamp Out Hunger’ set May 10
The Crossville Post Office will be collecting non-perishable food items on May 10 for the 22nd annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive.
