Christmas time is coming and one Cumberland County nonprofit agency helps those children who are in need to have a special Christmas.
Lake Tansi clubs supply funds for backpack program
The Exchange Club of Lake Tansi has agreed to help fund the Second Harvest Food for Kids program at Frank P. Brown Elementary School with a $3,000 donation.
Leagues donate to FUNd Committee
Recently, the Lake Tansi Couples League and Senior Men’s League donated $500 and $400 respectively to the FUNd Committee for its continued efforts to fund projects benefiting Lake Tansi Golf Course and the Lake Tansi Community.
Results of the annual POA election
The new POA Board Members as determined by the election are Bruce Wyatt and Willard Collis. The Lakes Committee Chair is Carl Flangan. Recreation Committee Chair is Brenda Toodle. The one time assessment of $100 per lot was not approved. The ballot count is as follows:

Killeen’s on the Green Restaurant & Lounge quietly replaced Cannon’s on Aug. 1 but just recently secured the lease. Owners Robert and Janeanne Killeen put together a ship shape crew for a new kind of dining experience right in the heart of Tansi with a robust menu you can’t get anywhere else in town.
Small Pan Fish Club’s Grand Finale of 2013
The Small Pan Fish Anglers Club held its final tournament, fish fry and meeting until the club reconvenes next April. From the productive fishing season to electing the new club officers, the club has set itself up for next season’s success.
TSUD is now accepting applications
TSUD is accepting applications for an open commissioner position. The deadline for submissions is the next meeting, which will be held on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m.. Two names have been submitted thus far, Thomas Kuhn and Clyde Zonker.
Assessment greatly needed to keep Lake Tansi viable

Tansi residents host Sept. 11 remembrance
Tansi residents Ed and Pat Sawchuk hosted their annual Remembrance Breakfast on Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in honor of the brave American firefighters whose patriotism and courage live on in their memories.
