CROSSVILLE — The Christmas season is fast approaching. I would like to wish each and everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you are blessed with the true meaning of Christmas. We have a lot of challenges ahead of us next year, with the membership voting down a dues increase, but that is not going to stop us from making 2013 a great year for the Lake Tansi POA. People will have to realize trying to maintain the amenities and buildings is getting less and less affordable each year. Small things add up, like lounge chairs at the beach and swimming pool, repairs to the swimming pool, upgrades to the cabins, rental boats are things that should be done automatically. But with budget cuts we are, again, just putting a band aid on our amenities and buildings. The POA should be able to provide the best for our members and guests. I have asked Ricci Saeger of the FAC Committee to help me put together a committee and start a planning for new amenities and buildings with the input of our membership and involving our community. I welcome anyone with a background in drafting or artistry to join us. This is not going to be a one man show or based solely on a committee. This is going to be a membership based and community-involved project. It is time to stop throwing good money at bad ideas. This is the future of Lake Tansi. We need to work together to bring a new beginning to Lake Tansi, to bring changes to all of our amenities and buildings, so that people who live here or visit will be proud of a premier resort. People need to be able to believe that something is really going to be done. That’s what I am working toward. There is no reason why this can’t happen if we come together as one. Feel free to call or come by the POA Office to see me with any ideas you might have. Again, I hope you and your family has a blessed Christmas.

Tansi Pan Fish preparing for 2014 season
Greetings Lake Tansi Pan Fish Club fishermen and women. Winter is almost over (Whoopie!) and its time to get ready for a great 2014 fishing season. We have a lot of great fun planned again this year with tournaments every other week from April through October.
Fox captivates LTV Association
The Lake Tansi Village Association held its monthly dinner meeting at the Thunderbird Recreation Center on Jan. 21. There was a wonderful and enthusiastic crowd turnout despite the icy conditions. The pot luck style dinner and desserts were, as usual, the envy of the county as the table was heavy-laden with a delicious smorgasbord. The T-Bird’s dining tables were decorated with snowmen, snow globes and winter figurines serving as the centerpieces, adding to the ambience of the association’s winter dinner.
Celtic Circle holds first Burns Night at Tansi
The Celtic Circle social group observed its first ever traditional Burns Night Supper in honor of Scotland’s poet and national treasure, Robert Burns, on the 255th anniversary of Burns’ birthday Jan. 25 at the Thunderbird Recreation Center.
