Assessment greatly needed to keep Lake Tansi viable

CROSSVILLE — Over the past few months, I have talked about how Lake Tansi started back in 1961 when Cosby Harrison and others envisioned a resort in the area. The next month was about how the Property Owners’ Association was formed in 1977. I also talked about amenities and activities that Lake Tansi has to offer such as our beautiful lakes, beach, golf course and our recreation center. The last thing I talked about was the challenges and opportunities facing our community, like settling the sewer issue and reducing or eliminating our two million plus bank debt.

Lake Tansi is a great place to live and visit. I want to keep our community special. The improvements we are proposing to the membership will not only be a start, but will encourage more people to look at Lake Tansi in a new way. I, myself, have lived and worked here for 31 years. This one time assessment is greatly needed. What has happened in the past is in the past. This Board of Directors is continuing their diligent work to protect the assets of this association.

Accomplishing the list of projects associated with the assessment is essential to the long term viability for Lake Tansi. We can not continue to keep putting off the much needed upgrades to the POA amenities. It is time our membership and community come back together and start working as one.
