The 2012 Lake Tansi Lake Patrol end of season party

CROSSVILLE — On Saturday, Nov. 10, the Lake Tansi Lake Patrol held their annual end of season party. The 2012 summer season was a safe and enjoyable time for all. All of the patrol officers did a wonderful job providing a safe environment for everyone who wanted to enjoy the lake. They are a dedicated group who provide a very necessary service to the community.

The Lake Tansi lake water was low to very low all summer. There were some boats out on the water for fishing, skiing, water boarding as well as tubing but there were fewer than last year. Either the high price of gasoline or the bad economy were contributing factors for the limited boat traffic. The fishing was fair to good most of the season; the pan fish group and the bass club did welL

The Lake Patrol members and their spouses gathered at the Hiawatha Center for lunch and to enjoy visiting and fellowship. Lunch was catered by Big Boy’s barbeque in Fairfield Glade. As usual the food was excellent.

We were very lucky to have two guests in attendence. First, we were honored to have Mr. James P. (Pat) Murphy present, who at one time was manager of the Lake Patrol. Our second guest present Lake Tansi P.O.A. General Manager Gary Dillon.

Officers unable to attend enclude - Chuck Toodle, Dick Lister, Jim Johnston, Bruce Wood, Tony Gigerich, and Harry Kulp.

Marina Staff members also not able to attend - Roberta Reese - manager, Carl Flanagan, and RalphKnowlton.

We wish everyone good health, and a great holiday season. We look forward to seeing everyone in the spring.
