CROSSVILLE — Cheryl Scrimsher was among the many Santa's helpers found Saturday morning wrapping presents to be delivered to area children through the Christmas on the Mountain program. Julie Vaden, coordinator for the program, said there will be 535 children who benefit from the generosity of the community this Christmas. Christmas on the Mountain is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax deductible. It collects for children who are in need and might otherwise have no Christmas presents to open. PEG Broadcasting's Panama Jack added, "It's incredible that this community comes together every year to make this happen. We are blessed in this community."
