Activities from the Recreation Department

Adults and children — Please come and enjoy a pumpkin carving or decorating contest on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 1-3 p.m. at the Lake Tansi Thunderbird Recreation Center. Cost will be $3 per pumpkin and decorating supplies will be available. Please RSVP by Oct. 7. Show us your pumpkin skills and have great fun. If you have any questions or to RSVP, call (931) 788-6282 and ask for Dee or Ken.

Halloween Adult Dance and Costume Party will be on Friday, Oct. 23, from 7-10 p.m., at the Thunderbird Recreation Center. BYOB and snacks to share. Music will be provided by DJ Tommy Boy Productions (Tommy Evans). Cost is $5 per person at the door. Please come by and enjoy the great fun and see whose costume or costumes will win. Hey all you kids (12 and under), on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Lake Tansi Thunderbird Recreation Center, 5-8 p.m., there will be treats. Quilters or any hobby projects you enjoy: Beginning Sept. 17, on Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Thunderbird Recreation Center, come and socialize, bring your projects, share your ideas, have lunch and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Get to know your neighbors and bring a friend or neighbor who would enjoy a few hours of sharing a good time. Cost for lunch is $3.
