The Panfish Club held Tournament #4 on May 19. Fish bite was still slow, but the water temperature is getting warmer, so it should get better. Taking first place was Denver Hogston and Denny Wunder, with 4 lb. 5 oz. Second place was Ron Brown and Ron Pulley with 3 lb. 2 oz. Third place was Stan Smith and Jeff Smith with 1 lb. 13 oz.
Tournament #5 was held on June 2, 2009, and fishing was a little better. Taking first place was Denver Hogston and Denny Wunder with a good catch of 6 lb. 9 oz. The second-place team of Carl Flanagan and Glen Strunk also had a pretty good catch of 5 lb. 13 oz. Third place goes to Marty McCoy and Allen Light with 3 lb. Marty, bless your little heart, you finally caught a fish without Susan.
The Tansi Panfish Club will have the first of two fishing rodeo tournaments on June 16 (Tuesday), starting at the Tansi marina at 7 a.m., sharp. You must be a POA member to fish. The weigh-in will be at 11 a.m. There will be no late entries - please be on time. Prize money will be sponsored by the Lake Tansi POA. The cost will be $5 per person.
