Tansi T-bird Recreation Center news

Hello from the staff at the Lake Tansi Thunderbird Recreation Center! Another month has come and gone! Spring is right around the corner! It has been a great month at the Thunderbird. We have enjoyed our monthly activities:

• Bridge and mah jong on Mondays at noon.

• Cards and games on Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m.

• Bingo on Wednesday at 2 p.m. followed by horse races, cake walks, or trivia.

• The ladies have been working on special projects, on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

• The gentlemen have been playing pool from noon to whenever!

• Friday and Saturday have had some fun bingo and games as well!

In January we hosted a "Free Baked Potato Night" and it was a great success! We had about 79 people attending! We would like to thank everyone for coming! It's great to see everyone. Thanks for all that

you bring and donate so we can all can come together and have such a great time.

On Feb. 9, Hospice of Cumberland County hosted a fundraiser card party! They raised $940 to benefit the patients of the hospice! Thanks to all who donated food, gifts of love, and most of all, their time! Hospice does great things for the community and is greatly needed here, so keep helping Hospice of Cumberland County. And again, thank you for your support.

Your Thunderbird staff continues to organize activities to entertain you.

• Don't forget the Adult Dance Party is Feb.16, 7-10 p.m. BYOB and a snack to share Cost: $5 per member and $7.50 per guest at the Thunderbird!

• On Feb. 23, at 4:40 p.m., come join us for beef stroganoff at 4:30 p.m., followed by bingo and horse races.

• Fridays and Saturdays: Watch for bingo and games to start at 6 p.m. check your Tansi calendar for the right day!
