 <title>Two killed in separate weekend crashes</title>

  <description>Two people died in single-vehicle crashes over the weekend in Cumberland County. The first crash occurred just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday on Hwy. 70 East. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, David O. Norris, 63, of Crossville, was traveling west when his 1994 Ford F150 pickup left the roadway.The second crash occurred just after 10 a.m. on Hwy. 70 West. Laura B. Whicher, 25, was traveling west when the 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier hydroplaned and she lost control of the car. The vehicle traveled off the road and down an embankment. The vehicle overturned, partially ejecting the driver, before coming to rest on its top.</description>

  <description>The number of incidents of people posing as representatives of a home-based sales company known for its beauty aids, gaining access to their unsuspecting victims' homes and stealing concealable valuables is growing in Cumberland County.The first incident was reported to Crossville Police just over a week ago and in the last couple of days, two more incidents have been reported to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department.
