Fairfield Glade Community Church once again remembers our military at Christmas

CROSSVILLE — On Wednesday Nov. 14, 38 women gathered at FFG Community Church to pack boxes for the Marines of 5/11 Sierra Battery stationed in Afganistan.

This year was super special for the church and the Marines. The Women’s Fellowship have been sending 55 boxes each year at Christmas for five years, but this year the congregation chose to send 120 Marines a box. It was an exciting adventure but with a lot of support from so many it was accomplished.

Special thanks to the following for their contribution in helping us meet our goal. Donald G. Hooie, DDS, for the donation of toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss. Wyndham Resort, for the donation of shampoo, body lotion and mouthwash. Karalyn at Dollar General Peavine Rd, for all of your help, you are fabulous. Cumberland County Retired USMC, for your wonderful donation. Semper Fi. Anita’s Hair Gallery in Crossville, Daniel and David McMurray former Marines

of Toledo, Ohio for their donations. This writer and the Marines would like to thank the congregation of FFG Community Church–We did it! –and I am so proud of each and everyone of you.
