Tickets on sale May 20 for Lions drawing

CROSSVILLE — Grand prize for the fourth Lions Club drawing is “Create your own $8,000 Las Vegas vacation package” or $7,000 cash. How is that for a prize? You get to plan your own events at the Bellagio, Venetian or Wynn facility. This includes shows, attractions, gambling, meals or anything you desire.

Next to last ticket drawn is a $2,500 gift card from Walmart or $2,000 cash and the second from last ticket drawn wins a $1,500 gift card from Fairfield Glade or $1,000 in cash.

Tickets will go on sale May 20 from Lions Club members and other locations. You should get a call shortly from your last year’s Lion member but if you have any questions please call Lion Ron at 484-2422. Tickets will also be on sale at First National Bank of Tennessee main office, 1386 North Main in Crossville, or 5011 Peavine Rd in Fairfield Glade. In addition, tickets will be on sale at Regions Bank at 175 Miller Ave. in Crossville and 6837 Peavine Rd in Fairfield Glade.

Only 500 tickets will be sold again this year at $50 each. The drawing will be held at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center on Thursday, Aug. 1. You need not to be present to be a winner but you are invited to attend and enjoy the fun. Free snacks and a cash bar will be available. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the drawing will start at 7 p.m.

Gordon Stack from Peg Broadcasting Station 102.5 “Wild Country” will serve as the master of ceremonies for the fourth straight year. Up to 40 prizes will be awarded randomly during the drawing. 50/50 tickets will be on sale and the First National Bank Cash Machine will be on hand for more chances to win. Complete details about the drawing are printed on each ticket including requirements for the top three winners.

The income derived from the drawing will be used to support Lions Club programs/projects that include purchase of two additional Optec 5000 sight testing machines to test Cumberland County children, scholarships for needy “Students of the Month,” $1,500 to District 12-0 Sight Services to provide a Cumberland County individual with cataract surgery and a contribution to the Lions White Cane Program to help six blind and deaf agencies.
