Luke Miller Annual Invitational Acorn Roll

CROSSVILLE — On Saturday, Oct. 5 the sixth annual Luke Miller Acorn Roll took place at the home of Judy and Jack Olsen. The weather was picture perfect for the 38 “Rollers” representing several different states and some from as far as Canada. For the second year in a row, the event was won by a Canadian visitor, Laurie Currie. Laurie’s husband Scott was last year’s winner. Glade residents are already hard at work selecting a new acorn for next year’s roll to ensure the trophy gets brought back to the USA. This year, the Acorn Roll event was honored to have present the youngster responsible for the founding of this grand event – Luke Miller, grandson of Fairfield Glade residents Jeani and Sid Miller.
