After many months of searching, and with the help of many friends, a new home has been found for Fairfield Glade Resident Services (FGRS).
FGRS was the recipient of free office space so generously donated for over a year by Misty Keyes of Wyndham Vacation Resorts. As a charitable organization, FGRS has grown and become a recognizable entity throughout the community. Misty had provided FGRS with a place to call home. As the economy appears to be turning, and business plans change, it was time for FGRS to find new quarters.
The search began in July of this year and once the word got out, FGRS received seven contacts from people, businesses and organizations that were willing to reach out and try to help. It was not an easy decision, but after much discussion and debate, Suite 102 at the Fairfield Towne Center was chosen. Many of you will remember this location as the offices of the Good Samaritan Society-FG when they first arrived here in the Glade. The location, parking and accessibility were the predominate reasons behind this selection. Although office space of this caliber cannot be expected to be rent free, FGRS is fortunate to have two anonymous donors who have stepped forward to assist FGRS in this matter. We sincerely thank them for their generosity.
The move has already taken place and you are invited to stop by and visit FGRS at any time the office is open. At present, office hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. - noon. It is possible that these hours will expand in the near future.
Evelyne Kornreich, your “Medicare Information Specialist” and the “Ask the Lawyer” team of Melanie Shada and Dave Shippert have joined FGRS in this move and are available for appointments at the new office. Please come and see them, taking advantage of these two great programs sponsored by FGRS.
