January’s themed art exhibit at the Plateau Creative Arts Center (PCAC) is titled “Vistas and Vignettes.” Whether it’s a landscape vista or a portrait vignette that shades off into the background, it will be a visual treat. Come inside from the cold; visit the PCAC to peruse the latest creative art from the members of the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade.
Once a month, the PCAC gallery exhibit changes, so monthly visits are encouraged. On Friday afternoon, Jan. 4, the gallery exhibit, “Vistas and Vignettes,” will open to the public. The gallery at the PCAC exhibits original artwork created by the Art Guild members. Visitors enjoy viewing quality artwork including watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastels, colored pencil, photography, mixed media and also 3-D work including pottery, sculpture and jewelry. The gallery is a perfect place to shop for one-of-a-kind decorations or gifts, with prices that are reasonable.
PCAC visitors not only enjoy the latest gallery exhibit, they also learn about the many art classes and day-trips offered by the Art Guild. In addition, visitors often get a bonus opportunity to see a class in progress or watch the open painting, beading, or figure drawing sessions taking place in the art studio.
As of Jan. 2, winter hours will be in effect for the PCAC. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Sunday and New Year’s Day. Come enjoy the gallery exhibit at the Plateau Creative Arts Center, 451 Lakeview Drive (off Peavine Road). For more information, call 931-707-7249.
The gallery exhibits and fine art classes are offered at the PCAC by the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization and an equal opportunity provider. www.artguildfairfieldglade.net
