7th Pro-Troop Rally set July 4

CROSSVILLE — Organizers of the annual July 4 Pro-Troop Rally have announced a program honoring our troops and veterans will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 at the Cumberland County Court House.

The celebration will include several interesting and informative speakers as well as entertainers Jay Fox, D.J. Garrison, "T" Shurmur, Terri Utsey and others.

A parade, clown, fire trucks and other attractions will be on the grounds and Main Street during the event. The Military Museum will also be open.

The program will include flag raising and flag folding ceremonies, plus presentation and recognition of all military branches. Local merchants will provide food, soft drinks and water free of charge.

Donations received will be for a special veterans fund.

Limited seating will be available, but those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. For more information please contact Debbie at 248-1562.
